It is important what we say here to better undestand our modus operandi. Our Team varies from year to year but some of people are the core of it as the Artistic and Managing directors working for the Festival all year round. The rest is a bunch of freelancers. However many of them keep coming back in various roles. Our staff members come from different sectors but plenty of people that has been organizing C/U throughout the years are the artists or scholars themselves. We are also happy to realize that many colleagues have started their careers with us.

Choreographer, dance curator, creator of the international “Body/Mind” festival; for over 25 years connected with the Warsaw dance scene; for 10 years she was the head of the Association of Independent Dancers, as well as the creator and curator of the dance programme at the National Theatre “+++ of dance”. She is a former prima ballerina of Polish National Ballet at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw and Stadttheatre Bern in Switzerland. She graduated from the State Ballet School and the Academy of Music in Warsaw. She carries out independent projects related to the art of dance. For 10 years, she has been the only Polish partner of Aerowaves, as well as the curator of the first international exchange projects between Polish dance artists and foreign ones, such as ‘Jagniatków. Move the Mount’ with the Goethe Institute, ‘co – OPERATION’ with the Swiss Cultural Foundation, ‘FOLK? a ja się (nie) zgadzam!’ with Iceland as part of the so-called Norwegian grants. She creates the original programme of the international Festival Ciało/Umysł and numerous projects promoting Polish dance. In 2003, she received an award from the Minister of Culture for promoting the art of dance. Since 2008, she has been a Polish expert and partner of the European networks: apap (advancing performing arts project) and Open Latitude, and as such, she co-creates the Polish and European dance scene. She is a member of the prestigious Chapter of the “Pearls of Dance” competition, which from 2019 will award prizes to artists of the art of dance.

Graduate of Tourism and Hotel Management in Warsaw. She has several years of experience in managing, running and organising offices at various levels, which she gained while working for the Polish-American company Computron specialising in the implementation of financial and accounting systems for corporations (Polish State Railways, CitiBank Handlowy, SoftBank).

She defended her doctoral thesis at the Université Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle and the University of Łódź. She holds a master’s degree in theatre studies and psychology from the University of Łódź and Université Lyon II. Vice-director of the Institute of Music and Dance from 2010-2017, ballet manager of the Wrocław Opera from 2018-2020, artistic coordinator of the Ciało/Umysł Festival 2007-2010 and again from 2021. She collaborates with the Theatre Academy in Warsaw and the University of Łódź. Author of the book ‘Aesthetics of Contemporary European Dance after 1990’ (Księgarnia Akademicka, 2013); editor of the ‘European Dance since 1989.
