Marta Ziółek

(born 1986) – a choreographer, director, performer. She explores new forms of expression by making use of the language of technology and pop culture; she is interested in contemporary rituals, performatics of identity, and female narrations.

She combines theatre, film, visual arts, and dance. She studied at MISH (Inter-area Individual Humanistic and Social Studies) of the University of Warsaw and School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. She is a scholarship holder of Dance Web at the ImpulsTanzFestival in Vienna (2011) and Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (2013), and a participant of the “Europe in Motion” platform for young choreographers (2012). She is the author of, among others: „TRUCIZNA” (POISON), „Pamela”, „Black on Black”, „PIXO”, „Zrób siebie” (“Do Yourself”). She collaborates with theatre directors and visual artists of both genders, working in Poland and abroad. This is her first premiere at C/U Festival.
