This performance by the enfant terrible of the French dance scene – Jérôme Bel, rediscovers the uncompromising pioneer of dance ? the legendary Isadora Duncan, presenting her as the herald of the contemporary art and modern dance freed from any rigid confines. It employs the original Duncan?s choreography and her memoirs. Bel?s work uses both the word and solo dance of Elisabeth Schwartz and by doing so, it breathes life into the memory of the revolutionary experiment. It combines a choreographic archive with direct experience of a live performance.
