Paweł Sakowicz

(born 1988) – a choreographer and dancer. He combines intellectual inspirations based in the world of books and history of dance with a truly sportslike stage practice and sense of humor. He studied at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Warsaw and London Contemporary Dance School. The author of Bernhard, TOTAL, Jumpcore (purchased fort he collection of Zachęta – National Gallery of Art), Thriller (in collaboration with Anna Smolar), and Massacre. He presented his performances during, among others, the three editions of the Polish Dance Platform, two editions of Divine Comedy, La Biennale de danse du Val-de-Marne, in NYU Skirball or CAC New Orleans. His collaborations with theatre and film directors earned him a nomination for “Paszport Polityki” 2016 award. He runs open dance workshops Hardcore Release. This is his first premiere at C/U Festival.
