Marco da Silva Ferreira (1986)
Born in Portugal, Marco is a physiotherapist by education, and a dancer and choreographer by passion and profession. Transitioning from competitive swimming to the performing arts, he is a self-taught artist, deeply inspired by African-American, urban, club, and popular culture. Notably, in 2010, he claimed victory in the Portuguese edition of the popular TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.” In 2012, he made his debut as a choreographer and swiftly garnered acclaim, receiving awards and invitations to premiere productions across Europe, and more recently in South Africa. Marco views working with a team as an exercise in community-building.
